POLICIES

» A non-refundable deposit/booking fee will be required via PayPal at the time you select your appointment date.

» The booking fee must be sent within 24 hours of receiving the link to lock in your slot. *You do not have an appointment booked until the booking fee has been received.*

» The booking fee is to cover the drawing time and hold the appointment slot. It does not give you rights to the design.

» Booking fees are for the idea/design that we discuss and agree upon during your consult. If your idea changes, a new booking fee may be required.

» Booking fees will be taken off at the final session of your tattoo, and will be used as a placeholder for any appointments up until that point. *If your tattoo requires multiple sessions, subsequent appointments must be booked in order for the booking fee to be held.*

» All booking fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Reschedule/Cancellation Policy

» Each booking fee allows for one reschedule, with a minimum 72-hour email notice. As long as your email is received and timestamped at least 72-hours prior to the appointment, your deposit will be honored (my reply to reschedule you may take longer, please be patient).

» If you have to reschedule the same appointment more than once, a new booking fee will be required.

» If you fail to give at least 72 hours notice, you will forfeit your booking fee.

» All no call-no shows will be denied any future service.

» I reserve the right to refuse service or discontinue working with anyone at any point.

Hide House Creative

2625 S. Greeley St. Unit #230

» There is a large "private" parking lot located across the street, or there is also timed street parking available.

How do I set up an appointment/consult with you?

» Please check the top of my Booking Form or Instagram profiles to view the current status of my books. I will post on my Instagram when they reopen and will prioritize pre-drawn flash designs, before focusing on custom inquiries that fit my creative interests.

» I do all of my consults via email. The best way to contact me is via the form on the Booking//Contact page.

» Please *ONLY* stick with email correspondence, including reschedules and cancellations.

» Fill out the form with all of the required fields. Once your email has been reviewed, if it is something I would like to move forward with I will reply with an available date/time slot, as well as my booking fee link and information.

» The booking fee should be sent within 24 hours to keep the scheduling process running smoothly. If the booking fee is not received within 24 hours of receiving the link, your appointment slot may be offered to the next person; however, your booking fee is still valid for another available date/time within the booking period. So, if you would still like to book the appointment for the initial design, please send your booking fee over as soon as possible and I will respond with the next available time slot. If there aren't any more available slots within that booking period you will be bumped to the following, at my discretion.

» Once your booking fee has been received, you've replied with your selected date and confirmed your payment has been sent, your appointment will be scheduled. You will receive a confirmation email from myself, as well as my booking platform, with the appointment information. You will also receive a reminder 24 hours prior to your appointment.

How much is a tattoo?

» Every tattoo is different. For custom and large scale work, I tattoo based on an hourly rate of $175/hour; while flash and smaller designs are usually priced by the piece and offered at a flat rate.

» If requested, I can usually provide a ballpark price estimate, so you'll have an idea of what to expect at your appointment. Please note, all quotes are based on the information in your form and are subject to change based on the final size, placement, and the tattoo process itself.

» Budgets can often be taken into consideration while designing the tattoo. You may also be able to break your tattoo up into sessions, depending on financial or physical comfort levels.

Are your books open? How far do you book out?

» Please check the top of my Booking Form or Instagram profiles to view the current status of my books. I will prioritize flash designs, before moving on to customs. I typically book about 1-2 months out to avoid any schedule conflicts. If you're looking to book further out than that, I suggest just waiting until the month or so beforehand to fill out the contact form when I post that my books are open.

What styles do you tattoo?

» I primarily enjoy tattooing colorful floral and botanical imagery, in an illustrative style. I also love tattooing anything with a feminist, witchy, or "femme" spin. I am happy to create a custom design for you and I have a lot of pre-drawn flash looking for homes as well! You can check out the Flash highlight reel on my IG to see some available designs, or ask to check out my Flash Book at the shop.

» I am really looking to push myself creatively and am focusing more on pieces that pertain to the above styles/subject matter. Other requests are welcome but may be passed on due to scheduling constraints and I am only one human. As always, your interest is still very much appreciated!

Can I see my drawing before the appointment?

» I typically don't draw until the evening before or morning of your appointment. The design will be ready to go for your appointment, and should any minor adjustments need to be made, we can do so at that time. Any major adjustments may need to be rescheduled and require a new booking fee.

It's my first tattoo. What should I expect? How do I prepare?

» Does getting tattooed hurt? The short answer, yes. As far as sensation, it's usually compared to a cat scratch, or a sunburn. Some spots may be more sensitive than others, but overall it's a tolerable but uncomfortable sensation.

» Please avoid alcohol the 24 hours prior to your appointment.

» Prepare for your appointment by eating a good meal a couple hours beforehand, and drinking plenty of water.

» Feel free to bring a snack and water to your appointment, or help yourself to the complimentary beverages and snack area in the lobby.

» Please wear deodorant and dress in comfortable, dark clothing. When selecting your outfit, try to be mindful of the area you're getting tattooed (ex. if you're getting your upper arm tattooed, don't wear a tight sweater.)

Can I bring friends?

» I do prefer that most people come alone with their appointment; however, with approval, I usually have no problem with you bringing a friend or two along for support. Larger groups are not advised (unless you're all getting tattooed) and absolutely no children (anyone under the age of 18) are allowed in the shop.

Healing and aftercare:

» Leave the bandage on for 1-2 hours and wash your hands before removing it.

» Wash your tattoo in warm water, using unscented soap (ex: Softsoap, gold Dial, or Dove.) Just stay away from perfumes and exfoliants. Pat dry with a paper towel.

» Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor or unscented white lotion (Lubriderm, Aveeno, or another generic brand is fine) and rub in completely.

» Repeat 2-3 times a day.  (Wash your hands » wash your tattoo » apply a thin layer of lotion)

» Once the tattoo starts flaking (should take a few days - there should not be any thick scabs), you can switch to an unscented white lotion, if your were still using Aquaphor, and continue to apply 2-3 times a day until your tattoo looks fully healed.

» It's important not to pick or scratch your tattoo while it's healing, as it can pull out the pigment. Let the flakes fall off on their own.

» Until the tattoo is fully healed (~4-6 weeks), please avoid submerging it underwater (this means pools, lakes, hot tubs, etc. - showers are OK), exposing it to intense sunlight, or wearing tight or restrictive clothing.

» If you have any questions or concerns while healing your tattoo, please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly!
